Hey Reader, I've said it a hundred times: "I will never be a girl on film." And yet... here I am telling you I just launched a YouTube channel. This isn't about becoming a YouTuber for me (in fact, I don't remotely see myself as that). Jamar Diggs completely shifted how I think about YouTube. His approach isn't about subscriber counts or going viral. It's about answering questions people are actively searching for. Which made me curious to do some keyword research. And what I found? A hole the size of a Mac truck. Nobody talks about marketing messages the way I do. Nobody talks about marketing for experts the way I approach it. There are a LOT of searches going unanswered—questions about messaging, why marketing feels so hard, what makes experts different from content creators. Questions I've been answering for years... just not on YouTube. So I'm running an experiment. (Walking my talk of what I teach in The Expert Up Club). I don't care about subscriber numbers. I'm not trying to monetize this thing. The goal is simple: Put my work in front of the consultants, service providers, and expert coaches who need it—and see if it grows my list. My first video breaks down what a marketing message actually is (spoiler: it's not a tagline, it's not content pillars, and it's definitely not "be more relatable"). I'd love it if you would watch it. Watch: What Is a Marketing Message? → If you have 2 seconds, leave a comment on any "aha" it gave you. Or subscribe if you want to follow along with this experiment. (Those first 24 hours really matter for the algorithm—so even a quick comment helps more than you'd think.) Yours in rebellion, P.S. Still can't believe I'm a girl on film now. Life is weird.
