Read in Browser | Word Count: 355 | Time to Read: 1.51 minutes Hey Reader, A few months ago, someone told me: “Michelle, I spend a lot of time educating my clients about my work. But when it’s time to buy? They ghost. Or say they got what they need.” Ugh! This is the worst. All that time spent nurturing... down the drain. Look, I get it. You’re an expert. You’ve got so much to give. You love helping people. You're generous. And you’ve probably been told that if you teach enough, if you wow people with your brilliance, they’ll hire you. But that’s a lie the online business world sold you. When you start educating, when you start telling people how to do something, walking them through step by step, your process… …you are telling them that they can do it themselves. You're encouraging them to try to do it themselves before they hire you. That is NOT nurturing your audience. It’s accidental self-sabotage, especially in this economy. Yes, I could walk you through a step-by-step process about how to create your Minimum Viable Marketing Message, knowing full well that it's tough to see the label from inside the bottle. But I also know I am sending you the message that you can do it yourself when I know damn well that you will struggle to do it yourself. So stop educating your audience. Just stop. Instead, build a case for why it's a smart investment to hire you to do the work for them. That means thinking about things like:

I’m not walking you through the process of how to take those answers and turn them into a marketing message that drives sales. Because I’m not here to educate you. I’m here to show you what it takes to get hired. And that? That’s a very different conversation. Yours in rebellion, P.S.
