⚡️ If picking a niche makes you freeze…

Hey Reader,

When half my face stopped working, I had no idea where to turn. No one could give me a clear answer about what to do.

Not my regular doctor. Not the ENT. Not even the neurologist.

They all had some knowledge of facial paralysis—but no real plan. No lived experience. No deep insight into what it’s like to wake up and not recognize your own smile.

Then I found a specialist.

A doctor who works almost exclusively with Bell’s Palsy patients.

He knew exactly what was going on. (In fact, he handed me a chapter of a book he wrote that talked about exactly what was wrong with me…a baller move.)

He didn’t need me to overexplain the symptoms—I could just say, “My eye feels so tight like it’s going to pop out of my head.” and he was already nodding, already ten steps ahead.

That’s when it hit me:

And it made me wonder...

Why are we still telling business owners to niche down—when what we really need is to specialize?

Niching often feels like cutting off possibility. But specialization? That’s expansive.

It’s about choosing who you want to understand better than anyone else.

Learning how they talk. What they need. What keeps them up at night—and what gets them to click “book a call.”
